William Morris project

For this project we were given the brief to do a length of fabric or wall paper based around William Morris, we then had to pick a contemporary artist that would be an influence on the final piece, I decided to look at Sonia Delaunay. I chose her because I like her style and enjoy the way she uses geometric shapes in her work, I am unsure how I will connect this with Morris' work as he has a very different style. I think I will probably do a length of fabric as I think it would work better, also I am planning on embroidering into it once I have screen printed onto it. I think I will do the main part of it in screen print as this is the quickest way to get it done and I want to sew into it as Sonia Delaunay does a little bit of embroidery. I haven't done much on this project so far and I've had to bin a few sheets as they weren't up to a good standard.
